"La Mer est Ronde" or "The sea is round" is a round pastel depicting an aerial view of the ocean, where white waves stir. It’s like a zoom into the endless motion of the sea, transforming into waves before returning to the ocean. The title, inspired by Orelsan's song "Je crois que la Terre est ronde," evokes the need to live in the present moment, a return to the origin, to oneself, within this perpetual flow.
